Undergraduate programsThe Food Science & Technology unit offers three programs at Bachelor level, each suited to particular interests in food science, and reflecting the breadth of career options once you've finished studying. If you've already completed a science degree at UNSW or elsewhere, you might consider Honours as a means of gaining food experience as well as independent laboratory-based research experience. The links below provide you with general descriptions of the different programs. The 'Introduction' links on the right sidebar describe the suitability of each program relevant to your potential career choices, and the 'Year' links provide information about each year of each program and further links to handbook descriptions of each course in each of the programs. In addition, the Food Science & Technology unit offers two undergraduate General Education courses, GENB6001 Food in Society, and, in conjunction with the Department of Biotechnology, GENB7001 Aspects of Alcohol. science@unsw provides an overview of all science courses and areas of specialisation offered at UNSW.
