Graham Fleet

Professor
Professor Fleet has teaching and research interests in general areas of food microbiology and food biotechnology with specific research activities
in yeast technology, the microbiology of wine, fruits and vegetables and dairy products, food fermentations and methods for microbiological
analysis of foods, and has taught food microbiology at several universities in Indonesia and Malaysia. He is an Australian delegate on the
International Commission for Yeasts (Chairperson 1996-2000), the International Commission for Food Mycology and the Yeast Group of the
International Dairy Federation.
Professor Fleet was Head of the Department of Food Science from 2000-2003, at which time FS+T became a part of the School of Chemical Sciences, (FS+T
is now, since 1 January 2004, under the banner of the Faculty of Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Chemistry, and Professor
Michael Brungs is the Head of School).
